Sub Weapon (Homing Missile) damage Moderate (Homing effect)
Supershot (Justice Attack) damage Moderate (Melee)
Speed Moderate
Bomb High damage, low durability

OverviewEdit

The American Lockheed P-38 Lightning was a presence in every major Theater of Operations in WWII. It was made famous in the Pacific Theater of Operations, especially during the Battle of Midway (the setting of Capcom's shooter 1943, in which you also pilot a P-38).

Like the last game, P-38 Lightning is notable for its balanced power and speed making it best for beginners. Its main weapon is great and its sub weapon shoots homing missiles, making it an effective crowd control. However, this plane have some new tweaks from its last two games. The old bomb has been removed and has been replaced with a Twin Taser Rocket Punch-like attack for its super shot, which you can store for up to 4.

Its bomb is summoning 5 planes attacking simultaneously in front dealing considerable damage and act as a front shield from the player. However, these planes cannot take too much damage and can only protect you from the front before ceasing their attack.

F5U Flying PancakeEdit

Main Weapon damage

Moderate
Sub Weapon (Homing laser) damage Moderate (Homing and Piercing effects)
Supershot (Laser) damage Moderate (Piercing effect)
Speed Very Fast
Bomb Considerable damage, Good Durability

OverviewEdit

The American Vought F-5U Flying Pancake was designed to be a fighter plane capable of remaining in flight at very low air speeds. These airplanes never got past the prototype stage and never was involved in any combat. That's right! The F-5U is a real plane, as weird as it looks!

The Flying Pancake is one of the best planes in the game. It is faster than any other planes and its auto aim Piercing laser sub weapon makes this plane the master of crowd control. Its Super shot is powerful due to its piercing effect at the same time it isn't because it's stuck at what was the Level 2 from the previous game...and you can only store up to 3 of these.

Its Bomb attack consists of a Northrop B-35 flying wing shooting at enemies and providing you with temporary shielding, depending on where your plane is on the screen.

Main Weapon damage

Considerable
Sub Weapon (Rapid-Fire Anti-Tank Rockets) damage High (Deal extremely high damage when power up to max)
Supershot (Roll Napalm) damage Medium (Double blast)
Speed Considerable
Bomb Perfect balance between damage and durability

OverviewEdit

The British Supermarine Spitfire is an all-purpose fighter craft that served during combat during WWII in the Royal Navy.

The Spitfire plays almost the same as the Mosquito from the previous game. Its sub weapon deals high damage and fires rapidly, but deals extremely high damage by firing more missiles when it is MAX. Its super shot fires a roll napalm that travels forward quickly while ripping through the enemy before melting them, with a bit of a zigzag pattern. You can store up to 5 of these.

Its bomb summons DH-98 Mosquitos bombing the area and attacking the enemy.

Main Weapon damage

Weak
Sub Weapon (Anti Tank Rockets) damage

High (AOE)

Supershot (Plasma mine) damage

Medium (Duration = Moderate)

Speed Fast
Bomb Extremely High Damage. Indestructable.

OverviewEdit

The German Focke-Wulf Ta152 was developed for the Luftwaffe as an answer to the Americans' high-altitude bombers, like the Boeing B-17 Flying Fortress.

The Ta152 is a unique plane in the game. It is the best in term of support rather than combat. The Ta152 deals low damage but its sub weapon deals splash damage for compensation. Its Super shot, though, is AWESOME. It releases a plasma mine which eats bullets, creating a shield for the player and its friend especially against bosses where bullets are scattered like crazy. The downside is that you can only store this super shot for a maximum of 3.

Its Bomb attack is crazy. It hurls a giant missile which deals high damage to any enemy upon contact with the missile, slowly grinding them in the process. It is indestructible so it can create a temporary shield for 2 players.

Zero Fighter Type 52Edit

ResultsEdit

Main Weapon damage

Weak
Sub Weapon (Rocket Launcher) damage Moderate (Piercing effect)
Supershot (Type-0 Missile) damage Extremely high
Speed Slow
Bomb Considerable damage, balanced durability

OverviewEdit

The Zero had an important role in WWII as Japan's signature airplane during the attack on Pearl Harbor against the United States forces. It was nicknamed "Zeke" by the Allies.

The Zero returns to the Strikers 1945 series, but is massively toned town from its original appearance. Its sub weapon shoots napalm rockets while its super shot is a large missile that creates an eclipse-shaped blast upon impact. Though its super shot is powerful, you can only stock up to 2 of these.

Its bomb attack is rather weak because it's too similar to that of the previous game's Hayate's. It spawns a giant plane which deals considerable damage to any enemy. However, this bomb isn't useful in bullet hell situations since its size and moderate health can be taken down easily before fleeing.

Fiat G.56Edit

Information

ResultsEdit

Main Weapon damage

Strong
Sub Weapon (Drift mine) damage Low (AOE, Homing Effect)
Supershot (Laser beam) damage High (Piercing effect)
Speed Moderate
Bomb Good balance between damage and durability

OverviewEdit

The Fiat G.56 is considered to be an evolution of the original G.55 Centauro. Many of these planes come in a Luftwaffe livery because of their service for Germany.

Its sub weapon summons a propelled mine that flies around wandering forward until it hits its target. Its super shot, though...is awesome. It charges up energy and fires a laser beam that covers the plane's Y-axis where it was fired, good for clearing enemies that may sneak up from behind. You can store up to 7 of these.

Its bomb summons 3 medium-sized Junkers bombers in varying formations. The good thing about this bomb is that you can control them by moving your plane left and right.

XP-55 AscenderEdit

Information

ResultsEdit

Main Weapon damage

Moderate
Sub Weapon (Heat missile) damage Considerable (Deal extremely high damage when power up to max)
Supershot (Homing boomerang) damage High (Homing effect)
Speed Moderate
Bomb High damage, indestructible

OverviewEdit

The XP-55 Ascender appears to be the U.S. Air Force's answer to the Japanese Air Force's Shinden, due to their similar designs, and was sarcastically referred to as the "Ass-ender".

The Ascender is a hidden aircraft in this game, playable by inputting "up-down-up-down-up-up-up-up-down" on the random select box. Its sub weapon fires energy missiles that deal considerable damage at the start, but soon gets more powerful as more missiles enter each level. The best part about this sub weapon spawning is that it slowly pierces the enemy, dealing a lot of damage. Its Super shot is throwing four energy boomerangs that target all on-screen enemies. The best part about this super shot is that you can store up to 9 super shots.

Its bomb summons a giant bomber plane to briefly carpet bomb the area before leaving without any sign of returning fire.
