F/A-18 Super Hornet

The F/A-18 Super Hornet is a staple fighter/bomber in the U.S. Navy.

It is the modern equivalent of P-38 Lightning, having four options always following it, shooting powerful homing missiles, and a bomb that involves looping. The fact that it has the word super in its name may not be a coincidence, due to Lightning's similarities to Super Ace.

The F/A-18 is the most balanced fighter of available fighters. Its bomb has a long burn time. Its Supershot attack can destroy many enemies easily even at Level 1. This fighter is quite weak in firepower when not fully powered up, since its main weapon does not fire rapidly when not upgraded, but upon upgrading main weapon more than once, this fighter will fire rapidly. This is an excellent fighter to use for intermediate players.

• Its name in Strikers 1945 World War is listed as "F/A-18E Super Hornet", to avoid confusion with the other planes in the F/A-18 series, most of which were nicknamed "Hornet".
